Hello there! I’m Sonal Solaskar, an UI/UX designer based in Mumbai, India, who loves turning tricky problems into digital experiences that just click. As a Product Design Intern, I currently work on delivering designs for Puch AI’s App. I also work on marketing and social media graphics while also dipping my feet into designing advertisements.

April - June 2025
At Newral, as the sole UI/UX Designer, I worked on UI/UX of three products which included Assume Chat and a TATA Communications endeavour, led UX research and designed brand identities for two products as well.

learning about
Human Computer Interaction, especially Feminist HCI is something I’ve been researching and reading about everyday, and ever since I’ve started to notice biases in technology today, that are not as obvious but once you begin examining technology through a critical lens, they become unmistakable.
Passionate about
Accessible Design: It's wild how what we consider "normal" design is really just built for a pretty narrow slice of people, and I've realized that good accessibility isn't about checking boxes but about genuinely celebrating the fact that we all experience the world differently. What gets me most excited is discovering how designing for people at the margins usually ends up making things better for everyone.
Other than design
While I love designing I do have other hobbies, I draw, paint, calligraph, cook, listen to music(while designing too), watch my favourite movies, and love trying new art forms, any way to keep my creative juices always flowing :)

It’s a collection of curiosity, a scrapbook of my creative and chaotic brain presented as neatly as possible, and a whole lot of figuring-it-out-as-I-go. Every project here started with a question, a problem, or a slightly unhinged idea that I couldn’t let go of.
